Road Trip Diary - First Monday Trades Day

I finally made it to First Monday, my original destination.  I've always known that 'if you can't find it at First Monday, you can't find it ANYWHERE!'  It was such a perfect day for walking the grounds and the arbors.  There were threatening clouds overhead, so I decided I'd walk the grounds first. Well, as soon as I got about as far out as you could get, the sky fell and I got soaked.  Here are some shots I took at Trades Day in Canton.

A simple round metal outdoor table transformed with broken tiles and marbles. How creative!

I saw this little girl several different times, so I finally asked her if I could take a photo of her.  She was so cute, and very proud of the orange petticoat.

What a cute way to display bright red geraniums.

Need a tractor or a claw footed bathtub, or maybe some longhorn skulls? How about a metal dragon?

The food on the grounds is incredible.  Not exactly on the 'healthy' side, but delicious just the same.

I met up with my niece Amy (center), and her girlfriends Allie and Jennifer, at the food court.  They had 'run away from home' for the weekend and invited me to join up with them.

Nothing beats the blackberry cobbler and 'sweet tea'.

Check out the wonderful Turkey Drumsticks!  The aroma is very tempting.

I wonder where this 12 foot Mariachi band member will end up?  Probably at some fabulous Tex-Mex restaurant. I hope his little buddies get to go with him.

Healthy organic vegetables were for sale as well.

I have some really cool country road shots I'll share next time.  Until then...
