Happy New Year Everyone!
It's been a very busy couple of months so my blogging took a back burner. I hope to settle in now because it is so fun to journal bits and pieces of my daily life and I love all the comments and suggestions I get from everyone.
One of the fun things I did over the holidays, was attend my twin sister, Yvonne's graduation. She earned her Master's Degree at Texas A & M Commerce. Yes, she's a true AGGIE now! 'Gig-em'!

Being twins, Yvonne and I have always shared everything. When we were babies, we shared whichever pacifier was available. We shared one birthday cake, (she got one layer with candles, and I got the other layer with candles. We shared a double stroller. We took baths together forever and ever. HOWEVER,,,,,when I asked if I could just put her cap and gown on for ONE measely photo, to live vicariously through her hard work, she totally refused to give it up. She said she wanted to 'savor the moment for awhile'. Well, I showed HER.....
I just put the tassle and hood over my head for the photo op.

I'm thinking 'how nice of her to share with me'...... and she's thinking 'get your OWN degree sis-tah!'
Guess some things are not meant to be shared. Anyway, we had a great time even though our husbands had to miss their weekly tennis game to attend the ceremony.
It took many long hours in front of the computer to accomplish this degree, so Congratulations Yvonne for a job well done!! Can I wear your cap and gown when you get your Doctorate??
Thank you for the tribute, sister! There will be no Doctorate$$$$ I don't think there are too many job opportunities for 70 year olds with their PHDs!
ReplyDelete....and I REFUSE to call you 'DR. Yvonne'
