I found this darling dress at the Tyler Goodwill store for $4.99 this past weekend. It is so cute and so comfy and even though it would probably be more suited to wear to a formal dinner gathering, I actually wore it to work to day with some cowboy boots! Well, the boots had the same colors in them so 'why not'? The bodice is a very dark maroonish-brown color velvet, and the skirt is a shiny satiny pleated fabric. A little over-kill for work maybe, but I figured I could get by with it.
This bronze/silver/gold chunky necklace came from the Goodwill store in Canton. You can't see the earrings, but they are the same as the necklace. I had to dig through several baskets of jewelry, and by chance found the matching set, but in different locations. Together, they were $4.00.
I've had these cowboy boots for years and they happened to go perfectly with this dress. They helped play down the 'formal' look of the velvet/satin dress a lot. I'm going crazy putting weird stuff together but I'm having a blast.
No...you would NOT be over killing it...love how the lil' boots go...with it...go on...go crazy...you rock, at being marooned...LOL
ReplyDeleteoh! oh! oh! I have the ear rings to match! (I'm not sure about the necklace -- I may have it too -- but it did not look as good on me as it does on you...)
